Travel risks

Safety of roads and routes

Destination assessment, movement plan, briefing and liaison with escalation for sensitive business and private travel to less predictable regions — from pre-departure preparation to evacuation option.

First the reality of the trip, then the measures

The risk on the road usually does not arise from a dramatic incident, but chain of trifles: unfamiliar surroundings, predictable movement, uncertain transport from the airport, accommodation without verification and moments when no one answers. Visibility is added for management, investors and families — it becomes clear in advance who will arrive, when and where. At the same time, the organization bears the responsibility for the safety of the sent people; the duty of care does not end with the check-in of the ticket. Preparation can handle most situations. Part will happen anyway — that's why the plan always has a variant for when the journey does not develop as expected.

  • The most risky are the first hours after landing and crossings between program points.
  • The publicly announced program reveals who will arrive, when and where — predictability is vulnerability.
  • Does your man know who to call at three in the morning local time? And who notices that he hasn't called?
  • The insurance reimburses the damage retroactively; travel risk management prevents it and shortens the response.

Scope

What the product is — and what it isn't.

Includes

  • Evaluation of the riskiness of the destination according to threat categories.
  • Transfer schedule: route verification in advance, verified driver, pick up at the airport.
  • Check-in protocol with escalation and contact tree.
  • Evacuation option, backup routes and crisis contacts.
  • Pre-trip briefing including operational safety of the trip.

Does not include

  • We do not guarantee safety or a risk-free journey.
  • We do not track third parties or collect non-public data.
  • We do not insure armed escort nor military extraction.
  • We do not replace insurance or assistance — we prevent situations that they resolve retrospectively.
At the table, the counselor and client go over a list of what travel preparation includes and what it consciously does not include.

Procedure

First the reality. Then measures.

  1. 01

    Evaluation of destination and route

    Evaluation of destination and route

We will evaluate the riskiness of the destination according to threat categories — from political stability and crime to health risks and traffic — and we mark critical sections on the route: crossing from the airport, repeated transfers, notified places.

  2. 02

    Pre-travel briefing

    Pre-travel briefing

We will go through the route, accommodation, contact tree and operational safety of the trip with the passenger — who knows the itinerary, what is published, how to book — including the procedure for missed reports.

  3. 03

    Support during the trip

    Support during the trip

We monitor developments in the destination from a combination of sources — official recommendations, local partners, media — and an analyst separates the noise from the signal. Passengers report according to the check-in protocol (regular reporting with escalation).

  4. 04

    Variant when the path changes

    Variant when the path changes

We escalate missed reports by steps: verification, contact tree, activation of local partner. When the situation changes, the route switches to a prepared backup route or an evacuation option.

Coverage

We cover the entire travel cycle: before departure, during flight and after return — from plan to fallback.

An analyst at the screen compares a map of the region and current reports on the security situation.

Destination and region

Risk by category: political stability, crime and unrest, health and natural risks, transport.

Hands above the map with the marked route from the airport and local transfers.

Route and transfers

Route verification in advance, transfer from the airport, verified driver and vehicle, predictability of movement.

The consultant checks the location of the accommodation, access and escape routes on the map.

Accommodation

Location, approaches and escape routes; at the meeting and security assessment of the place.

Phone and laptop on table next to notes on connection rules and travel deposits.

Communications and data

Check-in protocol, contact tree and operational security of itinerary and reservations.

The advisor reviews the health care, insurance and assistance contacts for the destination.

Health and assistance

Health risks, vaccinations, availability of care and follow-up to insurance and assistance services.

Output for management

Pre-travel briefing and route plan

Brief document (PDF) + phone contact card.

What the document contains

  1. Destination evaluation according to threat categories and local specifics.
  2. Route plan: transfers, accommodation, verified contacts and backup variants.
  3. Check-in protocol with escalation scheme and contact tree.
  4. Evacuation option: backup routes and crisis contacts.
  5. Mobile card for quick on-site orientation.

The document is short and practical — what the traveler needs to have on hand, not a hundred-page report in a drawer.

Role and mode

Who decides and how we cooperate.

  1. 01

Travel Manager (single point of contact)

One name and number that keeps track of the preparation, progress and evaluation of the trip.

  2. 02

    Destination analyst

It combines official recommendations, local partners and the media and separates the noise from the signal that is relevant to your route.

  3. 03

    Crisis contact 24/7

Receives reports and triggers escalation in case of missed check-in according to the agreed scheme.

A trip leader with a phone and an open schedule coordinates the preparation as a single point of contact.

Operational log

  • Preparation typically takes 5-10 working days before departure, shorter for urgent journeys.
  • Crisis contact available 24/7 throughout the trip.
  • Check-in according to the agreed frequency; we escalate missed reports: verification, contact tree, local partner.
  • After the return of the evaluation of the trip — the lessons are reflected in the profile of the traveler and the region.
Form
One-time for a specific trip, or continuously in the form of a flat rate for repeated trips of the team.
Scope
From briefing and itinerary to on-the-go support and evacuation option.
Tempo
Standard in advance; for urgent trips, we can handle shortened preparation in a narrower range.
Connection
We work with your assistant, travel agent and security team, not outside of them.

Discretion

Only those who need to know know where and when you travel. It is part of the preparation road operational security (OPSEC) — mode of work with itinerary information: who knows it, what is published, how it is booked. We keep the itinerary, contacts and sensitive details in need-to-know mode (only for the necessary circle of people). We work discreetly — our presence is not to be seen on the road. We store the trip data securely and after the end of the cooperation we handle it according to the agreement.

  • Nondisclosure agreement as standard.
  • Need-to-know mode — we only share with an agreed circle.
  • Itinerary Operational Security — Reservations and Program Out of Public View.
  • A discreet procedure without a visible presence.

Standards and the law

Trusted capacity, within the limits of the law.

  • A team with experience in security consulting and travel risk management.
  • The procedure is based on the logic of the ISO 31030 standard: identification, assessment, treatment, monitoring, improvement.
  • A combination of sources — official recommendations, vetted local partners, the media — and human judgment over them.
  • Clear methodology for preparation, briefing, escalation and evaluation along the way.
  • Procedures in accordance with GDPR and within the scope of the relevant authorizations.
We work within the limits of the law and only with data from legal and public sources. Any tracking of the passenger's location takes place only with his consent and only for the duration of the trip. We do not track third parties, we do not obtain non-public data and we do not assume the role of the police or emergency services. We process personal data according to GDPR. We don't do anything illegal — and we'll tell you.

Proof system

Specifically, but discreetly.

A service detail should not end with a promise. It shows an anonymized scenario, methodology and output that management will really use.

We do not show the client. We show the decision.

  • 01 A find. Which is really weak.
  • 02 Procedure. Who decides and when.
  • 03 Output. Pre-travel briefing and route plan

Questions for decision

Do you guarantee that nothing will happen on the way?

Nope. No one can honestly guarantee safety or a risk-free process. We reduce the likelihood of problems and shorten the reaction time when they do occur. We will prepare a plan, backups and a variant for the situation when the journey does not develop as expected.

Are you tracking someone or finding out sensitive information about people?

Nope. We do not track third parties and do not collect non-public data. Any tracking of the location takes place only with the consent of the passenger and only during the journey. We work with information about the destination, the route and your own movements — always from legal and public sources and in accordance with GDPR.

Will the preparation and accompaniment limit the normal course of the trip?

The goal is the opposite. Most of the work will be done before departure, so you have a plan, reporting protocol and one contact number ready on site. We only intervene where it makes sense and stay inconspicuously in the background.

When does it make sense to contact us?

Ideal when the trip is on the calendar — destination evaluation and route planning take days, not hours. We can also handle urgent last-minute preparation, albeit on a narrower scale. Continuous cooperation pays off for the team's repeated trips.

What does the evacuation option mean — do you intervene?

An evacuation option is a pre-prepared plan B: back-up routes, contacts and procedure when the route needs to be terminated or changed. We coordinate help with local partners, assistance services and authorities. We do not carry out armed intervention or military extraction.

What happens when you encounter a serious risk while preparing?

We'll tell you right away, even if it means delaying or canceling the trip. We will describe the likely scenarios and their impact on your decisions. The decision remains up to you — we provide the documents and recommendations.

Tomáš Šlesinger

Are you planning a sensitive trip?

"Get in touch ahead of time. The first conversation is non-binding and discreet — we'll go over the destination, date and scope, and say what makes sense to prepare."
